Legalilities of how to get married in Tenerife for non- residents.

 
The Anglican blessing is a religious ceremony, This ceremony is conducted by our local English resident Chaplain. You need to have the Civil marriage in your country of residence prior to the wedding ceremony in Tenerife. The Chaplain needs to see your Marriage certificate before the day!
 A wedding ‘blessing’ can look and feel exactly the same as a traditional wedding ceremony, and your guests do not even need to know the difference. All ceremonies include the signing of a register (non- legally binding) and couples will receive a certificate stating the date and place of their wedding celebration in Tenerife.
You may choose to have your ceremony in one of the beautiful churches or outside in our decorated gazebo looking over the golf course and the Altantic Ocean. 

The present law for non-residents to legally marry, states that you must have lived in Tenerife for a minimum of two years, if you are prepared to make at least two visit prior to your wedding a legal ceremony can be held.

Catholic marriages celebrated in Tenerife are registered with the Civil Court and are legally recognised in Spain. An International marriage certificate is issued by the local authorities.
 
If the bride and groom are both of the Catholic religion, they may choose a Nuptial Mass.
There will not be a Communion celebrated in the wedding mass ceremony as this is does not form part of the Spanish wedding custom.
All documentation for your marriage needs to be sent from your priest to the Archbishop in Tenerife, not by yourselves – the documentation has to go through the Church.  Please contact Ritz-Resorts for details on English speaking Catholic priest.

Birth certificate: Spanish translation is required.
Baptismal certificate: This must be issued within the six month period prior to your wedding, and authenticated by the issuing Bishopric.
A Spanish translation must be attached.
Proof both parties are free to marry: "Fe de Solteria y Vida".

Please note, there is not normally a Communion given during Wedding ceremonies. This must be specially arranged with the priest.

The second part of the Hotel Ritz-Resorts in Tenerife offers six beautiful studio apartments, 10 elegant superior suites.
Views from these apartments are facing the Amarilla Golf Course or Mount Teide.
Consist of king sized double bed or two twins beds, the lounge area provides sleeping for two on a pull out double sofa bed. Fully equipped kitchen for a perfect self catering holiday.  Television ,DVD player, radio and safe .
Spacious patios include table, chairs and sun-beds.
